Ahhh. back to the ol' chopping block

Well, since 2 of my favorite people updated their blogs recently (I'm only following 2 blogs, soooooooo...) I figured I needed to say a little sumtin'. I've had no computer for over 2 months. A virus knocked out everything: hidden files, erased programs, reset defaults (ex: tonight my printer just wanted to fax). But itunes is back up & running; that's the most important thing, besides, ohhhh, say.... MY PICTURES and VIDEOS from the last 9 years!!!! Fun times. Almost as fun as chasing a 13-month-0ld who is a train wreck in every room he waddles into. He is crazy wild funny. and I am madly in love. Tonight my baby-love threw my new iphone into the bath water while I was running his bath & getting him nekked. Awesome. Sitting in rice now.

Oh. And I have pink eye. How's that for a fun Sunday? We had the Lord's Supper during church service today. It was beautiful. But we were not in the back row as usual. In fact, one of the eldest, most respected women in the church was sitting right behind me. I love this woman, she has umpteen grandkids, great grandkids, etc... I was thinking, I wonder what she thinks about my kids sitting right in front of her?? I was PRAYING they'd behave. Not so. In the midst of my sheer ANGER at my 6 year old for disrupting and embarrassing 'me' to NO END all through the service, I remembered (I was paying attention for once) that it's ALL about the Grace. Eric leaned over and chuckled in my ear, whispering "the BIC". Which made me chuckle. So I gave her a little grace, and lo & behold, I was as free as a bird. I smiled at her, she smiled at me, squeezed my hand, and all was good. (we did have one little trip to the bathroom before that though) :0)

The DAY BEFORE my husband turns 40. I know my last blog entry was me... waiting ... for ... BABY. We all know how amazing he is, so I am not going to update on him (for now). What can I say?? 3rd child, totally neglected in the way of photos, updates, bragging, etc. Although, side note: he is a GENIUS!! (did I spell that right?) And a total momma's boy. Which I LOVE. He'll probably still be nursing at age 18. HAHA. just kidding. maybe.

Anyway. Back to Eric. My lover, my friend, my favorite blond-headed sarcastic scrooge is about to be 40! FORTY! I remember my dad turning forty, and that wasn't all that long ago. (Sorry honey!!) Sweetheart: you are wise, loving (in a secretly fabulous sort of way), strong, courageous, simple, handsome, honest, humorous (in a dry sort of way), sexy, generous, hard-working, loyal, godly, adventurous (in a fishing sort of way), extremely intelligent (although I don't want to pump up anyone's ego here), kind, sporty, playful, and a GREAT DAD, and I'm so proud and LUCKY to be your wife! Happy, happy birthday to my favorite person in the entire world!!! (who just happens to be upstairs falling asleep watching Fox news while I'm up typing.. who's surprised?? anyone??)
